Hello! I’m Riday Paul, a graduate in Health and Safety Engineering from Semyung University, South Korea. Originally from Bangladesh, I was fortunate to receive a full scholarship to pursue my academic journey abroad. My experiences have shaped me into a resilient and focused individual, dedicated to fostering safer and more sustainable work environments.
During my studies, I faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic but overcame them to achieve a CGPA of 4.17/4.5. I also completed professional certifications such as OSHA 30-hour training, ISO 45001:2018 certification, and various safety courses, which have equipped me with essential skills in occupational health and safety.
My research interests include Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability, with a focus on mitigating risks and promoting worker well-being. I’ve had the privilege of presenting my research on musculoskeletal disorders among tea plantation workers at international platforms like the Young Polish Academy, which strengthened my commitment to addressing global health and safety challenges.
I’m now preparing to further my studies and contribute to creating safer workplaces worldwide. I invite you to explore my website to learn more about my journey, research, and aspirations!

During my time at Semyung University, I had the privilege of visiting the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) as part of a departmental field trip. This one-day experience offered a fascinating glimpse into the practical applications of occupational health and safety principles in a real-world setting.
At KOSHA, I gained hands-on knowledge about:
• Workplace Safety Practices: Observing how advanced safety measures are implemented to minimize risks and protect workers.
• Regulatory Frameworks: Learning about Korea’s stringent safety regulations and their impact on industries.
• Safety Innovations: Exploring innovative tools and technologies used for hazard identification and prevention.
This visit was an eye opening experience that reinforced the importance of safety culture in organizations. It also inspired me to pursue my passion for creating safer workplaces globally by combining theoretical knowledge with practical insights.
While my academic journey in South Korea was incredibly rewarding, it was also the friendships and cultural experiences that made my time there truly unforgettable. Throughout my studies, I was fortunate to meet and form lasting bonds with many wonderful Korean friends. Their kindness, support, and shared experiences helped me navigate both the challenges and the joys of living in a foreign country.
We spent countless hours together, from studying late-night sessions to enjoying weekends exploring the beauty of South Korea. Through these friendships, I learned not only about Korean culture and traditions but also about the value of building meaningful connections across different backgrounds.
I also had the chance to explore the vibrant and diverse places that South Korea has to offer. From the bustling streets of Seoul to the peaceful beauty of Jeju Island, I immersed myself in the country’s rich history, culture, and natural landscapes. These adventures allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, adding a unique layer to my experience.
My time in South Korea was more than just academic – it was a journey of friendship, cultural exchange, and personal growth, which I will always treasure.
